Rod's first involvement in the hospitality industry was at his parents
Inn in Oxford, England where he worked in all areas. Since then he has had many years of experience in the
corporate environment or as a GM of numerous large and small hotels, as well as resort properties in the USA and around
the world. His extensive experience was obtained working for Inter-Continental Hotels, Four Seasons, Renaissance and Marriott
Hotels, for whom he worked prior to forming Meror Associates.
He has been involved with the industry as President of
Maui County Visitors Association, Chairman of the Rhode Island Hospitality Association, President of the Long Island Convention
and Sports Authority, on the Board of the Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau during the Sydney Olympic Games as well as
being involved in many civic organizations.
